Gabe getting acquainted with Ponce De Leon at the park.

and grabbing some nice palm shade.

We had fun seeing all of the rescued animals there
and taking a nice walk on the boardwalk.

Mommy and Daddy actually got to escape on some adventures
of their own:

We had a nice Italian dinner and went for a walk…

and saw a beautiful sunset at the beach!

while Gabe said, “Hey, where’d those parent people go???”

We took a nice long bike ride and checked in on momma eagle too!

Grandma and Grandpa also took care of Gabe while
we went to a dinner-theater show called Swing.

Hey, no one’s looking…

I’m rolling my way outta here!

Gabe’s 1st prunes experience…
now that should inspire the system!

Feet up and riding in style =)

Our last night we even got to go miniature golfing
just the two of us…

While Gabe does his plumber impression
with Grandpa!

Gabe gets ready for his daily dip.

Gabe politely tries not to stare at Mommy’s crazy hair!

Gabe says, “Oh no you didn’t!” to the daddy-cam

Ouch! Now that’s what I call an extreme close-up!

We don’t think Gabe knows how he feels yet about the waterfall!

Gabe says I think can, I think I can…

Then DUNK! White babies can jump!

Gabe says it’s too early too get out, he was just getting started!

Gabe realizes he’ll just come back in tomorrow…

& hangs up his suit for another day!

Today we took a family trip to
Corkscrew Audubon Preserve and Big Cyprus Preserve.

What a nice boardwalk to traverse…

It wound all around the forest floor.

Dad spotted a spotted owl =)

Break time!

Gabe was awake pretty much the whole day!
(Perhaps he was inspired after learning about
all of the nocturnal animals!)

This gator was nice enough to pose for us!

Grandma and Grandpa find a spot of shade for Gabe.

We spotted a crane…

A raccoon…

Woh, and what’s that over there!?

Yup, we saw some alligators too!

Daddy’s “on top of the world” on the top of the lookout.

Our guide said, “Myakka isn’t a destination, it’s a state of mind!”
