Gabriel In Florida
Archive for July, 2007

On the ride home, we stopped at Old Orchard Beach to say
hi to the Quinns.

Mom and Dad showed Gabe the beach and downtown.

Gabe can’t wait to come back and visit again!!

“This has been a great vacation, but I think it’s time to
hit the road!”

The first morning was a little overcast, but
we still saw some spectacular views!

The third day we started a beautiful hike up
Cadillac Mountain.

But it turns out the mountain was kind of steep.
(Who knew?) So we decided to turn back.
[Can you spot Gabe in this picture?
He's actually in the Bjorn in front of Jason!]

A family photo after successfully making it back.
(Yes, Gabe slept the whole way down!)

So it turns out that driving to the top is MUCH less strenuous!

Mom and Gabe try to sneak a picture up at the top.
(It’s supposedly the first place the sun can be
seen on the east coast… we checked it out ourselves
on the 4th day… meaning we had to be there at 4 a.m.!)

Gabe takes a closer look at Jordan Pond…

and decides to brave a quick dip!

At low tide we saw there was a footbridge
exposed and you could walk out to an island!

It was beautiful watching the sun go down behind it.

So we decided to give it a try ourselves the next day!

Here’s a group shot of us on the island!

Surprise, surprise, who do you think fell asleep on the way back?

On our last day we took an 8 mile bike ride
on the carriage trails… Gabe slept through
some of the bumpiest parts!

Just like at home Gabe still found time to nap a little…

Play a little…

Eat a little…

Smile a little…

Help with the chores…

And then play a little more!

“Hey Dad, let me see what you have!”

“I didn’t know you liked to drink out of a bottle too!”

Gabe wakes up Daddy to start another day!

“Yo homes, let’s shake a leg!”

Gabe giving Dad a snack as we waited for the fireworks.

Gabe inquires to Al when the fireworks will start.

Gabe practices his raspberries/foaming skills while he waits.

Gabe and Dad get tired waiting and decide to nap.

“Guys, I don’t think I can wait any longer!”

Gabe and Dad enjoy the fireworks from a street corner
as we started to head back to the campground.
Gabe’s 1st fireworks after all!
