Gabe loved Legoland so much that we ended up going back for a second day. I couldn’t possibly type all of the things we saw, did, and slid down. Make a note to ask me about it in person =)

We all had a wonderful Mexican dinner at Coyote Cafe in Old Town. It’s a beautiful area with Spanish history, architecture, and culture. We mostly enjoyed their strong margaritas though =)
Nancy, the boys, and I went to the Hotel Del Coronado while Jason was in a session at his conference. It was Nancy’s, Gabe’s and Miles’s first time in the Pacific Ocean. (Man, Miles has really been slacking on his to do list in his first seven months!
Well the Bryer Family headed out west to see Joshua Tree National Park and San Diego. (Jason was presenting a paper at a conference in San Diego, so we thought we’d make a whole fun trip out of it.) The boys did an excellent job on the plane ride… plus it was nice to have Nana Nancy on board with us.
Note, this was a rental car we took on these roads, we have enough sense not to attempt this with our own vehicle. That didn’t seem to stop Nancy from saying a few Hail Marys in the back of the car though…
Well, we are celebrating Easter a little early since we’ll be in San Diego next weekend. Gabe and Miles looked so darling in their Easter sweaters. And yes, sweaters were needed as it was pretty cool (but sunny!) today.
When Gabe woke up from his nap, we told him the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs and a basket full of presents in the backyard. After excitedly getting shoes on, he ran out to find the eggs. It was slow going at first, but once he realized that there were M&Ms inside the eggs, he made short work of finding the rest. He also got a Wiggles car with Wiggles characters and some Cars characters as well. He has been playing with them all day and they are laying in bed with him as I type! Man that Easter Bunny knows him well
In other news, we’ve been waiting for news of little Jack Jr.’s arrival. Or in Gabe’s words, “Aun Keem da baby.”
Gabe is getting in touch with his feelings lately. He will come into a room to announce “Gabe Happy!” which just warms my heart. Occasionally we get a sad or mad report, but he seems to be in good spirits most of the time.
Miles is downing jars of babyfood faster than we can throw them at him. I can’t believe how big he is getting. He’ll be wrestling his brother in no time! Although he does not have words yet, many people have been pointing out to me that when he is sad and sees me he makes a sad “Mmmmmuh” cry that sounds like “mom”… which I think is just guilt so that I step in and change the diaper or tend to his needs =)
Well, next week we’ll be in San Diego with Nana Nancy enjoying some (hopefully) nice weather and recording lots of memories to share!
