The second to last day we had lunch in Mission Beach. Gabe LOVED watching the roller coaster there. He kept yelling CHOO CHOO! as it went past… well, I guess it’s sort of….

Then it was off to The San Diego Wild Park where we saw lots of animals.

Sadly, feeding the duck was the most exciting thing for Gabe =)

There was an African Serengeti tour we took too!

The last day, we realized our trip would not be complete unless we visited Legoland just one more time =)

Gabe’s favorite thing in the entire park was a stationary fire truck. On both visits, we just couldn’t get him to leave it!

Bye Bob! We hope to come back and visit soon!

We found some sleeping sea lions down at La Jolla Cove

The Torrey Pine Preserve offered some amazing views… but it took a little hiking to get there.

Can you believe Jason kept going even after we saw this rattlesnake warning?!?

Nancy walked most of th uphill climb with Miles in the Bjorn… we thought she should receive mention for this feat =)

We went to Legoland and Sea Life Aquarium (located in the same park.)

I think the pictures will pretty much say it all…

Holy mini-Jason, Batman! He looks just like him AND he loves legos?!

They are so current they even had Obama’s inaguration in front of the Capitol!!

WOW! ALL I CAN SAY IS THERE WERE A LOT OF LEGOS!!!!!!

While Jason attended his conference, Nancy, the boys and I did some exploring.

First we took a harbor cruise.

Then we headed out to Coronado to see Hotel Del Coronado… it was exquisite

It was Nancy and Gabe’s (and Miles’s) first time in the Pacific Ocean.

When Jason was finished with his last session, we went out to eat in Old Town, a beautiful, Spanish-style part of the city.

A yummy dinner, with yummy margaritas and a nice evening walk around Old Town was the perfect end to our day.
Nana Nancy even got Gabe a guitar as a memento.

The USS Midway was a lot of fun… and educational!

Then we went to Balboa Park. It is a GIGANTIC park filled with beautiful gardens, museums, restaurants… you name it!

Next we were off to the train museum where they had the LARGEST train model in the country… it actually takes hours for a train to go through the entire set up!

Then we happened upon a miniature train!

Nana needed a cold one after a long day of keeping up with the boys!
