Projects

I have been a Software Engineer for many years now and code primarily in Java. I have developed several applications for various needs. I am providing these programs under the BSD license for non-commercial use. If you find them useful, consider making a small donation. For commercial use, please contact me to make arrangements.

FractalJ

FractalJ is an application intended to supplement a high school or college course in Chaotic Dynamical Systems. The application is written in Java to provide compatibility with all the major operating systems including Mac OS X, Windows and Linux. The modular design allows for easy expandability of additional features and modules. For instance, in its current release eight of the most common functions are provided. However, additional functions can be easily added by implementing a new class that adheres to the rules of the interface.

The modules implemented in the initial release are:

  • Graphical analysis.
  • Iterated functions systems (i.e. chaos game).
  • Orbit and bifurcation diagrams (including the complete bifurcation diagram)
  • The Mandelbrot Set
  • The Julia Set

I built photagr.com as a way of bookmarking images I find around the web. It is a social bookmarking site much inspired by del.icio.us. It is a free service to use, so do check it out.
